A plush break away with our Pooch

We have just returned home after having had the most amazing weekend away at the award winning, truly dog friendly Letheringham Water Mill Cottages in Suffolk.

It was Chester's (our working Cocker Spaniel) first holiday and he had the absolute time of his life as this place is pure doggy heaven. He was provided with a bed, blanket, towel, treats and best of all entirely enclosed grounds to play in with the resident Labradoodles. There is gardens, fields and a river for pooches and humans to explore alike. Dogs are not only welcomed but encouraged to explore and play. What more could a dog want!!

Whilst Chester was off playing with his new friends we were able to relax in luxury at the Riverside Cottage. The Riverside is one of several bespoke, luxury apartments. Each with there own unique style and wonderful views. In the Riverside there are beautiful glass viewing galleries where you are able to see the illuminated water wheel (the sound of running water can lull you off to sleep or can be turned off on request), a cosy living area with stunning views of the garden, a big bath with organic toiletries and a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge. It really was the prefect break away!

The information binders are overflowing with what to see and do, walking routes, pubs, restaurants and much more. You name it, Jacqui and Richard have tested and approved all the best places to go.

If you do not want to venture too far the White Horse pub is only a 10 minute walk away. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and loved Chester. So much so that we ended up going back for lunch the next day! We did a 10 mile walk of the beautiful Suffolk countryside on Saturday enjoying the stunning views across the open fields and exploring the wooded areas whilst Chester chased pheasants, rabbits and squirrels to his heart's content.

As for Jacqui and Richard, you will not find more accommodating hosts. True doggy lovers and its clear they have thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing as possible.

If all you needed was one dogs approval, we had to drag Chester back to the car to leave. He really did not want to come home, and to be honest, one weekend was not enough for us either!

Thank you Jacqui and Richard for such a brilliant break away!!
