Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot!!

We have been keeping cool in the warm weather recently, walking in Whippendell Woods, Berrygrove Woods and Bishop Woods. These are lovely sheltered walks that have plenty to see and do, but are very shaded, keeping our pooches out of the sun for the majority of the walk.

With temperatures soaring next week there are lots of ways you can keep your dogs cool at home. A children's paddling pool or spray from the garden hose can be a great way for your dog to have fun and cool down. You can also now buy cooling mats and coats for your dogs to lie on or wear and toys that you can soak and then freeze for your dogs to play with.

Please remember the 5 second rule - Place the back of your hand on the pavement , if you cant hold it there for 5 seconds its too hot to go for a walk.

Here are some of our gorgeous pooches enjoying their walks.

Not forgetting our lovely cats, Lily and Fred have enjoyed our service recently. Cats can also benefit from cooling mats and some may need sun cream when they are out and about in the hot weather.

I hope you all enjoy the sunshine and remember to keep your furry friends cool
